JIM'S BIG EGO: unpop for the unpopulous!

Open mics have meant a lot to me. They remind me of the community of musicians, and the future of that community. When I was 16 years old I used to go to an open mic at the Speakeasy in NYC, hosted by Dave Van Ronk and I will never forget it. When I moved to Boston, the Old Vienna, The Naked City, and the Nameless shaped the way I wrote and introduced me to new friends and compatriots.

So, for my 60th birthday, I want to host an open mic for my friends and neighbors. The theater/venue is in the back of the church, and parking is available in the lot and along the street, if the lot is full. We will have sweets, King Cake, coffee and tea, and more.
