Utopia Revisited is now streaming everywhere but Spotify

tweet by Adam P Knave

Thank you to Adam Knave for this excellent blurb on twitter.

Utopia Revisited (8 tracks) recorded by Kurt Unenala at TónLab, Hafnarfjörður, Iceland 02.2023 is best categorized (so I've been told) as Indietronic. This is a big departure for me. I went to Iceland with the idea in mind that I would record a project of new songs and songs I had abandoned and focus on a more ambient, synth forward approach to my work. Early on in my songwriting endeavor, I longed to emulate my heros Brian Eno and Laurie Anderson but with minimal instrumentation. This album digs into those origins with the indended electronic accompaniment with help from Jim's Big Ego's former bass player (known as spaghetti head at the time) Kurt Uenala.

You can find it at Bandcamp (which I love), Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, Tidal, YouTube, and others like Deezer, Boomplay, and I bunch I've not heard of yet with the exception of Spotify. I have removed all our music from Spotify, here's why you might consider moving off that platform as well. Corey Doctorow talks more about it.

I hope you enjoy this new project. I'm overjoyed by how it turned out. If you love it too, send Kurt some of your love.

Have a great summer. Working on some new shows for the Fall.
