When we ran the thing aground we were dreaming
of giant wheels of brie with swastikas on them
and the plans that were made and the ones who were scheming
were miles away and which side which side which side
they said there was something wrong with our brains
something about the air on the submarine

Ernie said it was time to practice our trade
so we loaded up the guns and we hit the town
and the church bell was ringing with every shot
and we knocked on all the doors but there was no one around
so we loaded up on whiskey and camembert
and some fine bottles of red from the twenties
and alone on the hill out above the town
we unloaded the rockets and set them off and got loaded and lay down

Soon it got hard to remember our names
so we floated up back off above the town
and over the hills of western France
and over the water to Ireland, India, German-America, Ghana, Goiania, China,Amsterdam, Pakistan, Japan, New Zealand, Mali, Argentina, Australia andover and over and over and over Antarctica
